After inheriting his father’s trading company in 1981, Mr. Malashene Sheni established Darin Co. in 1992—officially registering it as Darin Group in 1998 to account for the company’s newfound diversification. He has served as the company’s acting Chairman for over 33 years, and his hands-on leadership approach provides his team great motivation to produce excellent work and services for their clients. His clear vision for Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, has led to continued company expansion, which, over the years, has allowed Darin Group to make dramatic social and economic changes for the people and Government of the region.

After joining Darin Group in 2001, Mr. Khalid has proven himself to be a key player in driving the company’s growth and development in all areas of operation. He played a vital role in Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 through his renovation efforts with the Erbil International Airport, and in 2005, he graduated from the IT Technical Institute of Erbil to better prepare himself for the increasing demands of his position. Furthermore, he was influential in the creation of the group’s line of shopping malls, international hotels, housing complexes, and its rapidly expanding Telecom Division.

Mr. Dhaihir has managed Darin Group’s numerous and diverse business ventures through his position as Chief Financial Officer since 2004. He is a 1991 graduate of the University of Salahaddine majoring in Legal Administration, and since his graduation, his primary focus has been in the area of accounting. Despite difficult economic times for the region in past years, Mr. Dhaihir has successfully managed to lead the company to consistent economic growth through his hard work, diligence, and financial know-how.

With a degree in Civil Engineering from Salahaddine University in Erbil, Iraq, Ms. Dizayee has gained a great deal of experience through her work with UN on a wide range of projects. She has worked as Bureau Manager since 1995, and she supports the Chairman and senior management personnel through this executive position. Her wealth of knowledge on all projects taken on by Darin Group and her top-notch managerial skills ensure the company’s overall success in its many developments—both large and small.
